How to Be Humble

Saturday, December 31, 2016

Have you ever been around people who have horrible attitudes, people who are arrogant or just plain shitty?

Are you that person?

Are you humble or arrogant?

When someone thinks they are better than others, you know what happens... you become self objective, you climb this hill and keep on climbing until you reach the top. Once you're in your prime, you fall down, way down...

How does this happen?
On your way to the top, you were selfish, self absorbed, you were an asshole. Your ego is inflated, you walk around like everyone should bow down to you. With the law attraction in your favor, you're surrounded by the energy you put out. You're going to attract other individuals and situations who are your mirror. A bunch of arrogant, ego driven people in your circle, and one of those people will

1) Be smarter than you
2) Be stronger than you

Then one day way down the road you find that one person or person(s) that will burst your bubble and you come tumbling down that hill faster than you can ever imagine. Something will happen where you are humiliated, broken down, and alone and your tumble down the hill will be your personal hell. One day you'll no longer be embarrassed for being an egomaniac, and that tumble down the hill will make you humble.

There is a light at the end of the tunnel:
After your long embarrassing very public tumble down your personal hell, you will come out a more humble YOU! Nothing positive comes out of being arrogant. Everyone around you is your equal, doesn't matter if you are strong, beautiful, handsome, drive a DMW or are have fancy sneakers. All this is superficial. No one really cares. Whatever you do, do it for yourself. No one was put on Earth for you to belittle over something that never matters. No matter where you go in life there will be someone who is smarter, richer, wealthier, fancier, more talented than you... and THAT'S OKAY!

You're one little speck in this world. You want to know how small you are... Go to the beach, when no one is there. Let the waves come to you. You'll see the proof that you're a tiny little speck on this Earth.

Be authentic, that's the only way you're going to be 100% happy.

5 Days of Thrifted Holiday Outfit Ideas: Day 5

Today concludes the 5 Days of Thrifted Holiday Outfit Ideas. I made this a 5 days series because I wanted to show you guys that your holiday outfit doesn't need to cost so much. Each of these outfits were beautiful and can be accessorized with beautiful jewelry or a coat. Imagine the shoes you can buy when you save so much  money on your outfit!

Todays outfit is another "no name" like yesterday. It had a name, but the tag was cut off. That didn't stop me from buying it. This dress was $12, and although it's missing a belt, I'm pretty sure I have a belt that I can use for it.

How to Become a Fashion Designer for Little to No Cost

If I can go back, I honestly wouldn't have went to school for Fashion Design and Merchandising. Looking back, I could have taught myself...Maybe I'm saying that because I already graduated, or maybe because these student loans are killing me. I had to spend a lot of money before I realized... Hey... I can probably do this for free or little cost.

I know a lot of people are opposed to Craiglist.org or Freecycle, but honestly it's a life saver.

On craigslist you can browse around the free section, people are giving away desks, computers, sewing machines and yes...fabric...

Are you looking for something specific? Freecycle.org is amazing.

On freecycle you can post exactly what you need once a month. People who have the items don't want to throw them out, so they are sent to a good home... Yours!

I had a huge project due, couldn't afford the fabric for my course in school. I posted that I needed fabric for this, and I got 3 people to respond. I received enough fabric to last a year. I had to make three trips to fill up my car with this fabric.

The lady who gave me the fabric, emailed me a month later asked if I wanted a sewing machine, and a camera that she was getting rid of.

I was set for the entire year, and I couldn't have been more appreciative.

Looking to learn for free? YouTube... YES, YOUTUBE! It's a world of know. You can learn everything you need to. From basic sewing to advanced sewing, its all there.

Tutorial blogs, Pinterest, and google! The world is at your fingertips, learning doesn't have to cost $60,000.

I started off with stuff I got for free, and it made me appreciate all the things I have now.
